While there are technical barriers that make it basically impossible for an old fashioned wiretap to work, Vonage designed the software. If they felt they needed a means of tapping, they built it in. Recently, there have been legal hullabaloes about this, as the cops have been campaigning to make every phone company responsible for complying with wiretapping warrants, even the VOIP & cell phone companies. I would assume that they can, but don?t unless they have to.
