IndoorAtlas uses disturbances in the (geomagnetic) force to map interiors, plot a path to aisle 3 (video)

Interior navigation is only just coming into its own, but IndoorAtlas has developed a technology that could make it just as natural as breathing -- or at least, firing up a smartphone's mapping software. Developed by a team at Finland's University of Oulu, the method relies on identifying the unique geomagnetic field of every location on Earth to get positioning through a mobile device. It's not just accurate, to less than 6.6 feet, but can work without help from wireless signals and at depths that would scare off mere mortal technologies: IndoorAtlas has already conducted tests in a mine 4,593 feet deep. Geomagnetic location-finding is already available through an Android API, with hints of more platforms in the future. It will still need some tender loving care from app developers before we're using our smartphones to navigate through the grocery store as well as IndoorAtlas does in a video after the break.

Could Cloud Gaming Kill The Next-Generation Video Game Console?

The current generation of game consoles is getting a bit long in the tooth, but signs point to late 2013 as the earliest that a replacement for either the PlayStation or Xbox consoles will come online. But then something interesting happened this past week, which could change the way that console makers think about their hardware and software service: Sony bought cloud gaming company GaiKai for $380 million. Sure, rumors abound about what hardware, chips, and specs these devices will have when or if they're eventually released. All indications point to about the same type of hardware development we've seen in past consoles -- including high-performance, next-gen CPUs and GPUs to power even more robust gameplay and graphics capabilities. But if I were Microsoft or Sony right now, I'm not sure I'd be betting on an ever-more powerful box to power its new game platforms. In fact, I'd take a contrarian approach and make as lean of a box as possible, and put all the processing power up in the cloud.

Obama Hammers Romney For Individual Mandate Reversal

The Obama campaign sent out a portion of the president's interview with Cincinnati?s NBC affiliate, in which he hammers Mitt Romney for his meandering response to the question of whether the individual mandate in the Affordable Care Act is a penalty or a tax.

?On the health care bill, Mr. Romney was one of the biggest promoters of the individual mandate," said Obama, according to the excerpt. "In Massachusetts, his whole idea was that we shouldn't have people who can afford to get health insurance to not buy it and then force you or me, or John Q. Public, to have to pay for him when he gets sick. That's irresponsible. That's exactly what's included as part of my health care plan."

?And the fact that a whole bunch of Republicans in Washington suddenly said, this is a tax -- for six years he said it wasn't, and now he has suddenly reversed himself. So the question becomes, are you doing that because of politics? Are you abandoning a principle that you fought for, for six years simply because you're getting pressure for two days from Rush Limbaugh or some critics in Washington?"

This is a touch unfair, if only because Romney's reversal hasn't been on the substance of the mandate (though one can sincerely argue that he wanted it to be a national model) but rather the way it's defined. At one point in time, Romney clearly thought of the mandate as a "tax penalty." The Massachusetts official government website labeled it as such. He is now clinging to vague passages in the Supreme Court's decision to make the case that it's a tax federally but a penalty on the state level.

That's a reversal with respect to semantics. If anything, Romney's made it tough on himself by not going further and reversing his position on matters of policy.

?One of the things that you learn as President is that what you say matters and your principles matter," Obama said. "And sometimes, you've got to fight for things that you believe in and you can't just switch on a dime.?

Worlds Best Recipes: The Worlds Best Chocolate Pie

If Your Looking For The World's Best Chocolate Pie Then Guess What. You've found the recipe for the worlds best chocolate pie

Cookie Crumb Crumb Crust

1. 1 cup chocolate cookie crumbs ( Oreo Cookies ) ? remove whites before grinding
2. 1 1/4 cup graham cracker crumbs
3. 2 1/2 tablespoons granulated sugar
4. 5 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

Preheat oven to 350 F.

In the bowl of a food processor, process the graham crackers and chocolate cookies to make crumbs. Mix together crumbs, sugar and butter and press into 9 inch glass pie pan. Bake at 350 for 10 minutes.

1. 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons sugar

2. 3/4 cup heavy cream plus 1 3/4 cups

3. 3/4 cup buttermilk

4. 3 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch

5. One Level Teaspoon Ground Sea Salt.

6. 4 egg yolks, lightly beaten in a medium bowl.

7. 4 ounces good-quality semisweet chocolate, finely chopped.

8. 1 tablespoon butter.

9. 3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract.

10. 3 tablespoons confectioners? sugar.

World's Best Chocolate Pie

Cookie Crust ? Prepared as directed above.

Whisk sugar, 3/4 cup heavy cream, buttermilk, cornstarch and pinch of salt together in a saucepan off the heat. Place over medium-high heat, and bring to a boil, whisking from time to time for the sugar and cornstarch to dissolve and the mixture thickens, about 5 minutes. Continue cooking at a low boil for an additional 5 minutes, whisking constantly.

Pour 1/2 cup of the hot mixture into the egg yolks and whisk thoroughly. Pour the egg yolk mixture back into the saucepan and whisk over medium heat until thoroughly combined and very thick, 1 to 2 minutes. Pour the mixture into a mixing bowl, and whisk in the chocolate, butter and vanilla. Continue whisking until thoroughly combined (mixture will be very thick). Cover the mixture with plastic wrap placed directly on the surface and refrigerate until cooled to room temperature.

Place 1 3/4 cups heavy cream in a chilled mixing bowl and add the confectioners? sugar. Beat until stiff peaks form. Gently fold about 1/4 of the whipped cream into the cool chocolate pudding mixture, then spoon the chocolate mixture into the prepared pie crust and refrigerate until firm and cool, at least 4 hours.

Refrigerate the remaining whipped cream until you are ready to serve the pie. I added some more powdered sugar to the remaining whipped cream before piping it on top.

When ready to serve, top the pie with the remaining sweetened whipped cream and serve immediately.

To me this is truly one of if not the best chocolate pie that you'll ever eat. Please go to the trouble to make your own crust because you'll love it.

ATHENS, Greece (AP) ? Greece's Prime Minister Antonis Samaras says his new three-party coalition government is ready to carry out a broad series of structural reforms, and acknowledges the country's deficit reduction program has gone off target.

Samaras told Parliament Friday that the government will focus on selling state assets, such as the country's railway company, and liberalizing the energy market.

Greece has been lagging in reforms demanded by its international creditors in return for billions of euros (dollars) in rescue loans.

In presenting his government's policy platform, Samaras also said foreign officials must "stop undermining Greek efforts" with comments about the country potentially leaving Europe's joint currency.
